NAS Tavistock and District group
A group of the National Autistic Society
We are having problems sending out emails to our group members.
Please add us to your contacts and 'not spam' as emails are bouncing back to us.
TAD WAVE was set up by a small group of women with Asperger Syndrome in 2013.
In 2014 we became part of the National Autistic Society network of local groups and branches.
We run a small friendly group for autistic women called WAVE, Women with Aspergers Voice Exchange, and we try and meet monthly for a coffee and a chat.
We occasionally hold meetings for carer's, mixed meetings for autistic adults and carer's and joint meetings with the Plymouth Branch.
As a group we have three main aims:
- to provide mutual support of adults with AS and their carers living in the West Devon area.
- to raise awareness of the needs of adults with Asperger Syndrome.
- to improve availablility of autism information for those living in Devon.
We would also like to hear from relevant local professionals and organisations within Devon to share information and encourage good practice.
*We are all volunteers, if you contact us we will get back to you as soon as we can.
*We are unable to offer any therapeutic provision, counselling or crisis intervention.
